Our Story

Cinetis was founded in 2005 by Pierre Ihmle and Jean-Pierre Gehrig.

In 2005, Cinetis joined forces with a brand internationally known for its cinematographic products : Bolex International in Yverdon-les-Bains. The Bolex Digital digitization services for audiovisual archives is a result of this partnership.

Cinetis works with the firm Edeltech to develop multimedia software, with the German company MWA Nova for film scanners and with Médiathèque Valais and the Cinémathèque des Pays de Savoie for archiving. It also works closely with the IDIAP Research Institute, with EPFL and with HEV in Sion.

Cinetis is a member of Memoriav, the Swiss Association for Backup of Audiovisual Memory, and the Swiss Media Center.
