Are films destroyed during digitization ?

What is the lifespan of a DVD ?

Manufacturers maintain that DVDs have a lifespan of 100 years or more. A conservative estimate is a lifespan of several decades, given optimal storage and use. We use Taiyo-Yuden professional DVDs. They are the best on the market at this time, and they are guaranteed for 30 years.

May I put titles on my DVDs ?

Yes, of course. Include a legible and understandable list of titles (one title per reel) with your order. Your titles will be used to mark the DVD’s chapters and will be inscribed on the DVD sleeve.
Titling will be organized as follows:
• An overall title for the DVD (for example “Dubuis family, 1973 to 1975″)
• One title per reel (for example “Holidays in Zermatt, 1973″)
We have designed a titling sheet included with the order form

Digitize your Super8 in High Definition

We can transfer your Super8, Normal8 and 9.5mm films using one of the best film scanners on the market, the FlashscanHD.

Films are then stabilized using one of the latest image treatment technologies developed jointly with the IDIAP Research Institute. Films then undergo a colour correction conducted by a specialized technician. All this will be done to give you the highest quality image possible.

The HD format resolution is 1280 x 720 points (HD Ready) or 1920 x 1080 points (Full HD). The final image will have vertical black bands on either side to preserve the 4:3 proportionality of the original film.

HDTV

High Definition digitized films are delivered on a Blu-Ray disk compatible with your home player or in the form of files stored on an external hard drive should you wish to edit your materials using your favourite video editing software.

Transfer your personal film heritage into HD quality so you can preserve every detail from your own priceless memories.

Quality of your DVD copy

I was extremely surprised by the quality of your DVD copy. Obviously, some scenes of the original film are not very good, but those in which sharpness and colors are good on my film stock, were also excellent on the DVD.

I congratulate you for your excellent work

The presentation of film at the beginning of the DVD is also very well carried out and I congratulate you for your excellent work. Friends of mine often ask me where to copy their films on DVD. I will give them your address.
